Trucking Transportation Manager

Responsible for the management and coordination of all trucking functions within the Company including internal truck fleet management/optimization, truck freight rate negotiations, and compliance with applicable DOT regulations. Develops trucking logistics plans and procedures to ensure that internal/external truck operational needs are met. Gathers data and conducts comprehensive and sophisticated analysis in order to provide recommendations for improving the Organization's supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
Function as the internal truck expert that is a resource for all members of the Organization regarding truck operations as they pertain to our industry
Source, hire, and train drivers, dispatchers, and other positions as needed
Oversee daily dispatching functions and assist when necessary
Ensure all administrative functions are completed as necessary (DQ Files, Accident Reports, Reprimands, etc.).
Be a positive contributor to a culture that presents solutions in order to meet goals
Obtain new truck rates as necessary to facilitate Company truck distribution needs
Ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation regulations
Working hours: M-F 8:00-5:00
